About Me
I am a warm hearted, non judgemental genuine person who believes in and is strongly committed to growth and change.
I have completed 8 years of counselling training in several key disciplines of Counselling and Psychotherapy, as well as numerous short training courses, in addition to Private Practice I have been a Trustee, Supervisor and Counsellor within a Counselling Service and also a Hospice Counsellor.
I work integratively aiming to provide the therapy most suited to your individual needs.
Over the last 25 years I have worked with people from widely varying backgrounds and cultures.
I provide a trustworthy, safe place for you to explore your thoughts and feelings and resolve any difficult situations/relationships, moving forwards in your life in a way most suited to you.
Through careful, sensitive listening I may offer an explanation of reactions and behaviours to people and situations. Self understanding and insight leads to informed choices and to feeling calmer and in control.
I see the counselling relationship between the client and myself as crucial to successful therapy.
I became a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist/Counsellor in 1998, Senior Accredited Psychotherapist in 2005 and Senior Accredited Clinical Supervisor in 2013 and conform to the BACP Ethical Framework.
